Life Coaching and Mindset Coaching Cheltenham - Children’s Feedback -

3 girls aged around 11 years jumping into the air with joy

A Chat with Amelie, Aged 16, UK.

What was it like before you worked with Sarah?

I was struggling in life. I didn't know a good and beneficial way to deal with things such as anxiety, intrusive thoughts, worries, stresses, overthinking, self-esteem and more.

What made you take that leap and decide to sign up for some children’s coaching?

Both my mum and I decided that enough was enough and I should seek some assistance to help me to get through my tough times.

What made you happiest about working with Sarah?

Sarah is just an all round lovely person and coach. She instantly made me comfortable and calm around her. It felt like a weight lifted on my shoulders when I knew that I have that person that I am able to confide in and she can help me to work through it in a beneficial way.

I was very nervous and unsure going into it, but her kind personality and interest in wanting to help me made me feel at ease and grateful to have her in my life.

What did you achieve in the time spent with Sarah?

So many things. There's been highs and lows but Sarah has helped me every step of the way and she continues to do so.

I have learnt many new techniques from Sarah to help me to deal with certain situations such as how to deal with intrusive thoughts and how to ease my stresses.

She also helped me to understand and get through a fear which I had that I would always overthink when I was younger. She continues to check up on me and celebrate the wins with me, from resisting a compulsion to completing my exams (which she helped me during to manage my stress levels and other worries).

All of which I am endlessly grateful for.

How has your family as a whole benefitted?

I think that it has eased the minds of my parents as they know that I have someone who is actively helping me and who both them and I know I can go to with anything and even they can message her with any concerns.

Also, I feel it has made my family more aware of many things, especially my brothers, they have become a lot more understanding and the whole of my family have taken on board some of the things that Sarah has said and recognised that it can also benefit them, which is amazing!

Were there any unexpected benefits?

I feel as though what was sort of unexpected was the fact that I feel so comfortable and safe around Sarah (especially how quickly I felt this way) as I was quite nervous and I didn't know what to expect going into it.

What surprised you the most from everything you've learnt with Sarah?

How many people are similar to me, how they struggle with similar things and how so many people seek help, so not to be ashamed about it.

How strong I really am and how, when I really put things into perspective, the things that have made me feel uneasy etc such as compulsions, are actually so meaningless!

Also, how lots of people actually give their personal power away by not even realising as it's what they've learnt in life. Also

Would you recommend Sarah to others; if so to who and why?

Yes I definitely would! I would recommend her to anyone really, but from my point of view (as I am a teenager) I think that people my age and just young people in general could really benefit from her.

This is because I feel as though there is quite a lot of pressure on young people (and anyone of any age in general) and just having that person to help you, and to talk to you really helps and will really benefit you and your overall life.

How would you describe the support you received in-between sessions?

The support is amazing! She is available in between sessions on WhatsApp and reminds me that she is there if I need to send her a message with any worries or progress etc.

It's also lovely as she is interested in you and your life and it's nice as we can just have a chat about life whether that's in the sessions or in between, she focuses on your needs and what's best for you to really help you.

What would you tell someone who's considering signing up with Sarah?

I'd say just don't be afraid to open up and talk to her properly about your feelings etc as she is there to help you and in order to receive the best help that you can get you need to trust in her and allow her to help you, which you can! :)

What words would describe your experience?

A Rollercoaster, empowering, challenging, so beneficial, progressive.

What was your favourite aspect of Sarah's services?

Just being able to have someone to talk to and who I know can assist me and talk me through things that may be troubling me.

Also, I enjoyed the hypnosis sessions which we did via Zoom to help with my exam nerves. I found it very relaxing, and it helped me to relieve my stress.

Did you face any unexpected challenges throughout the journey and if so, do you feel Sarah helped you with these?

Yes I did. I actually went to her when I was younger with one specific problem which she had helped me through. Then a couple years later we have called her again to help with some otherstruggles, but she has definitely helped me and made me stronger.

There have also been a few blips and there still are but she helps me every step of the way and reminds me not to beat myself up and just to get through it stronger than before, so yes she helps so much with these.

What's one example of success that wouldn't have been possible without your time with Sarah?

So many things! For starters, really getting some perspective on my big fear that I overthought when I was younger wouldn’t have been possible without Sarah helping me to put it into that perspective I don’t think.

And also her getting me out of a very tough time in my life when I was so anxious I wouldn’t eat much and didn’t really have any motivation for anything so she really helped me along with my lovely family to get out of that, which I don’t think I could have done without her and them! :) and just so much more she has helped me immensely :) !

Is there anything else would would like to comment on or say?

Overall, Sarah is such a lovely person and she has had and still has a huge positive impact on my mental health and my whole life overall. I am incredibly grateful for her and I feel that she is helping me a lot to change my life for the better!
